Summer Training
Happy Sunday Athletes!
Summer Open Pool Training - Free
Summer training begins on June 20th (the district is closed on June 19th). Like last year, this is a completely free and optional training time for anyone (from the girls team OR boys team) looking to stay active or get in the water in June and July. The only requirement is that you must have been on the swim team in prior years. I know there are some families that like to donate to the booster club which is always appreciated, but in no way expected.
Practices are on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30ish. You can come and go as you please. I will have three different workouts that you can choose from or you can bring your own. There's no commitment requirement...you can come every day or only one day if you want.
There will be a safety waiver posted on our website on Tuesday (trswimdive.com) later this week. Please register (for communication purposes) and complete the waiver form before coming on the 20th.
Summer Strength and Conditioning
Like last year, Anne Ballweg, is hosting strength and conditioning at the high school. This is a GREAT program! I would highly encourage you to register for it if you have the time. The registration link and more info can be found here.
Other Swim Opportunities
If you're looking for something with more structure this summer then the Flyers are a great option! They practice right at our home pool and their coaches are awesome! Let me know if you'd like more information about them.
Other News
Some of you may have already heard, but I'll be moving from teaching at Friendly Hills to South St. Paul Secondary next year! This won't impact any of you, nothing will change coaching-wise, I made sure that was very clear in the interviewing process.
Go Warriors!
